Trion Resident Admits To Smoking Meth Prior To Driving
A Trion man confessed to smoking methamphetamine three hours prior to driving, according to Summerville Police reports.
Officer Matt Pritchard stopped a Chevrolet Silverado that did not have working tail light about 3 p.m. Friday. The driver was Kevin Ray Glenn, 34, of 325 Mildred Street.
“This is Billy Joe Dooley’s truck,” and then he stated, “It was David Lassiter’s truck. It’s who I work for,” Glenn allegedly told Officer Pritchard. Officers did not confirm that information but found Glenn did not have any proof of insurance.
During a search, the officer found meth in a plastic bag and a glass pipe. Glenn alleged the drug was for recreational use and “it’s not a habit.”
“He then admitted to using meth three hours prior,” Officer Pritchard stated.
Glenn was arrested for possession of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and driving with defective equipment of proof of insurance, according to jail reports.
