Stranger Claims She Was Assaulted By Coyotes And Panthers
A LaFayette woman claims she was assaulted and chased by coyotes and panthers after being kicked out of her boyfriend’s car on Williams Road in Summerville.
Homeowner Shenia Glass heard someone knock on her front door around 10:30 p.m. and found an intoxicated stranger who was later identified as 40-year-old Kimberly Louise Oswalt.
“Ms. Glass advised that she answered the door and the unknown female advised her that she needed a ride,” Deputy Corey Fielding stated. “. . . [and she] had been assaulted and chased by coyotes and panthers. Ms. Glass then advised me that she contacted Chattooga E-911 due to the fact the female appeared intoxicated and was wondering around her carport. Ms. Glass also advised that she feared for the safety of her family due to the fact there were juveniles inside her residence.”
Oswalt was arrested for disorderly conduct, according to jail reports.
“While speaking to Ms. Oswalt I asked her why she was there and she advised that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument and he kicked her out of his vehicle. While speaking to Ms. Oswalt, I did observe the odor of an alcoholic beverage upon her breath, her eyes appeared heavy, and her speech was slurred,” Deputy Fielding stated.
