Silversneakers Club Celebrates Easter

 

Silver Sneakers recently celebrated Easter at Advanced Rehab in Summerville.

The group, designed for older adults, focuses on developing strength and coordination for daily activities, including improving range of motion and agility. Most of the exercises can be performed while seated, though participants are encouraged to stand and move about as they feel comfortable.

Several members of the group have undergone major surgeries or are recovering from a heart attack or stroke and say they have no problem keeping up with the routine. Likewise, several claim the exercise has helped them manage arthritis without medication.
