Benefit Planned For Mike England May 11 At Park

A motorcycle/cakewalk/ raffle benefit for Mike England has been scheduled from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday at J. R. “Dick” Dowdy Park in Summerville.
Kickstands up at noon.
The bands, The Bread of Life Singers and Calvary Way, will be performing.
Barbecue, hot dogs, drinks, chips, popcorn, auction, cake walk, face painting and bike ride are planned.
All proceeds go to upcoming funeral bill.
The bike ride fees are $20 per bike and $5 per passenger.
Crystal L. Lee, Medical social worker for Amedisys Hospice, Dalton said, “Mike was admitted to hospice on Sept. 11, 2018 with a diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and a prognosis of less than six months. Mike is a delightful soul and most deserving of whatever could be raised in his honor.”
“I know his wife is hoping to lift some of the financial burden associated with his final wishes. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration and I hope you find it in your heart to donate to this deserving family,” Mrs. Lee added.
The public is invited.
