Clarification

A Chattooga County man was arrested a couple of weeks ago on child exploitation charges. During the arrest, information was put out that the man was the owner of a cleanup shop on Bellah Avenue.

The News has since learned this information provided to us was not correct. The arrested man was not the owner of the property nor the business.

He did, however, work at this cleanup shop.

Jason Carroll, a longtime businessman at this cleanup shop, said he leases the property. Carroll has worked at this cleanup shop for numerous years. Carroll had allowed the guy to use the shop to clean up vehicles for a few months, but they were not business partners or associates.

The News is happy to make this clarification.
