A Summerville Police officer found a passenger with an Alprazolam pill and they were keeping it in the wrong container, according to a report.
Officer Matt Wilson stopped a vehicle at the Kangaroo gas station on Hwy. 27 around 3:37 a.m. this morning. He found the pill on 32-year-old Krysten L. Burch, of Madison, Ala.
“Driver was pulled over for speeding. [Burch] was the passenger. I smelled alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. While searching the vehicle I observed the female’s purse on the passenger side. I also observed a green medication bottle with the prescription of bupren/nalox …with the subject’s name on it. I observed one blue oval shaped pill from outside the bottle. I opened the lid and observed a blue oval shaped pill labeled “G3721″ and the pill came back to an Alprazolam. [Burch] states she did put this pill inside the wrong container but does have a prescription,” Wilson said.
Burch was charged with failure to keep drugs in the original container, according to an incident report.
