Cops Called To Disturbance At The Summerville Library


Summerville Policemen were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at the Chattooga County Library’s main branch around 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to reports.

“Officers received a call in reference to a white male subject who was reportedly being loud and threatening violence directed at a female child and a pregnant female . . .”Officer Lt. Tim Fulmer reported.

The officer talked with the people involved and talked with witnesses at the library. Lt. Fulmer said the witnesses did not hear or see any threats.

“I also talked with three employees at [the library] about what had taken place. All parties involved, including the clerks at the library, advised that the . . .family had been involved in an argument while inside the library . . .”Lt. Fulmer stated. “The male …subject had not made any threats to harm any of his family members during the verbal altercation.”
