An intoxicated woman kicked a jailer in the stomach and struck another one in the arm Tuesday evening, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s information.
Amber Carmen Sipsy, 36, of 106 Fifth Street, Trion, was arrested for DUI, following too closely and violation of Georgia’s open container law and booked in the county jail around 5:30 p.m.
After her arrest, Sipsy would not cooperate with booking officers and used profane language toward them. She would also bang on the jail doors.
Jailers told Sipsy to get into a restraining chair and she refused, according to a report.
“Booking officers Shounta Shirley and Jordan Ayers along with other officers went into the holding cell to place Sipsy in the restraining chair. Sispy kicked Officer Ayers in the stomach and struck Officer Shirley in the arm with her fist. Officer Shirley had a contusion on her arm from being kicked by Sipsy,” Drug Agent Caine Railey reported.
Sipsy was also arrested for two counts of obstruction of an officer, according to jail reports.
