Businessman’s Check Is Forged

Someone forged a check belonging to a local Summerville business, according to Summerville Police reports.

Mike Salmon, of S&S Butane Gas Services Inc., at 215 Hwy. 48, told cops Friday afternoon that someone cashed a bogus $2,401.18 check. The check had been altered to pay a woman living in Louisville, Ky.

The case has been turned over to a detective, according to an incident report.
