Quilt Raffle Planned In Menlo On March 21

The Resident Association of the Menlo Housing Authority is selling tickets on a beautiful quilt made by friends of the Association. The quilt measures 82 x 102 inches and the pattern is called Storm at Sea. This pattern depicts the rolling waves of a stormy sea with its simple color and wave like imagery and is believed to be based on Biblical Scripture.
Tickets can be purchased at the Housing Authority office, Menlo City Hall, Menlo Restaurant, commissioner’s office, Willow Tree and from volunteers who are helping with the sale.
Proceeds from this project helps fund the Veteran Marker Project, the Reading Buddies Program among other activities, project and needs of the community.
The Resident Association along with its friends and volunteers’ goal is to make a difference and impact on the community.
The drawing for the quilt will be held at the Spring Quilt Show scheduled for March 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lawrence Center.
