Ruby Letner Trusley
Ruby Letner Trusley, 79 went home to be with Jesus on December 29, 2019.
She was born on June 10, 1939 in Dayton, TN and was the daughter of Charlie J. and Maude A. Clark Letner. She was a member of Ten Mile Holiness Church, a former employee of the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office and was retired from Shaw Industries.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Trusley and siblings, Lester Letner, Billy Letner, Johnny Letner, Elmus “Curley” Letner, Earl and Dorothy Letner, Robert “Cotton” Letner, J.W. and Louise Letner, Chet Letner, Mary “Monk” and J.C. Gunter, Ann and Country John Letner and Faye Letner.
Ruby is survived by her children: Sharon and DeWayne Gibson, Georgetown; Danny Aikman, Ten Mile; Mike Trusley and Shirley Dilbeck, Niota and Missy Buckner and Terry Powell of Cleveland.
Her cherished grandchildren: Colby (C.J.) Oliver, Ryan (Kala) Aikman, Tiffany Charles, all of Decatur and Brett (Rachel) Buckner of Troy, New York. Her greatest joy was her two beautiful great-granddaughters, Chloe Grace Oliver and Molly Ann Aikman of Decatur. Her adopted by love, children, Lisa and Tony Charles and Amanda and Tony Bales. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law’s: Howard (Carolyn) Letner of Trion, Ga; Reba Letner and Connie Letner of Ten Mile and Bettye Letner of Chattanooga. She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, Church family and friends whom she adored.
Funeral services will be 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 01, 2019, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Rolen officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday in Rocky Springs Cemetery in Meigs County. Serving as pallbearers will be, Tony Bales, Cory Bales, Paul DeLude, Alex Argue, Calvin Letner and David Mitchell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 01, 2019, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm prior to the service at Ziegler Funeral Home.
