Ann E. Bailey Woods
Mrs. Ann E. Bailey Woods, age 87 of Trion, GA passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Annewas born in Trion, Georgia on January 24, 1932, daughter of the late David Oscar Smith and Janie Marie Ledford Smith. She was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church where she was a member of the Grace Sunday School Class. She was retired from the weave room at Mt. Vernon Mills and was a CNA at Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed cooking and loved to sing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ann was preceded in death by her husbands, William Doug Rider, Carl Junior Brown, Donald C. Bailey and most recently, Franklin Woods; sisters, Helen Smith, Nelda Clowdis, Faye Logan and Hazel Nixon; and a brother, Earl Smith.
Mrs. Ann is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lynch; sons, William “Sputnik” Rider and his fiancée, Susan Wallin, Gary “Bucky” Brown and his wife, Kathy; and Tony Carl Brown; stepchildren, Melissa Payton, Kerry Wood, Misty Taylor and Penny Ammons; sister, Sue Rogers; grandchildren, Tessica Pearl Rider, Luke Vaughn, Johnny Bowers, Stephanie Lynch, Will Lynch, Cody Lynch, Nigel Brown, Justin Brown, Eric Brown and Janie Marie Petitt, Toby Brown, and Carla Wiley; several step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ann will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Duvall and Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Bowers, Justin Brown, Eric Brown, Toby Brown, Drew Hamilton and Luke Vaughn. Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters and the Grace Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Ann will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
