Alta Faye Norman
Mrs. Alta Faye Norman, age 83 of Summerville, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Norman was born in Mentone, Alabama on November 11, 1935, daughter of the late Charles Keith and Alma Cordell Keith. She was a member of the 1953 graduating class of Summerville High School and a member of the Trion United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, she along with her husband, Ray, owned and operated Grandpa’s Restaurant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her husband, Ray “Grandpa” Norman, a sister, Majorie Alexander; and a nephew, Mike Alexander.
Mrs. Norman is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Donald Webb, Cindy and Mike Mills and LeAnn and Randy Henderson; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Donna Norman; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bruce Cordell; brother and sister-in-law, Charles, Jr. and Sandra Keith; grandchildren, Allen Norman, Natalie Norman, Victoria McCalla, Jennifer Mills, Reagan Manning, Matt Mills, Alex Mills, Drew Henderson, Katie Henderson and Carrie Nicholson; great grandchildren, Elijah Mills, Silas Mills, Asher Mills, Jett McCalla, Claire Mills, Kitt Henderson, Molly Nicholson, Rylan Dooley, Bennett Manning, and Bear Manning; 1 nephew and a number of nieces.
Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Norman will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Skip Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot.
Pallbearers will be Allen Norman, Matt Mills, Alex Mills, James Manning, Randy Brinkley and Elijah Mills.
Mrs. Norman will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M.
The family respectfully ask that no food be prepared and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Trion United Methodist Church, 810 Pine Street, Trion, GA 30753.
