Alva Nell Brown

Alva Nell Brown, age 76, of Trion, GA, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Brown was born May 11, 1943, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Raymond Eugene and Mary Lemous Brock Lee.  She was of the Baptist Faith, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Shaw Industries.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Alfred Leroy Brown; brothers, Clyde Lee, Ernest Lee, and Wayne Lee; sisters, Betty Lee Nichols and Irene Lee Bruce.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Amanda LeeAnn Brown; step-son, Lewis (Gina) Brown; step-daughters, Rachel Bruce, Elaine (Michael) Weeks; brother, John Robert (Josephine) Lee; sisters, Brenda Lee, Patricia Sizemore; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 2, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Lee Sizemore, Tommy Morgan, Christopher Pierce, Brandon Bruce, Jeff Lee, Taylor Ozment, and Roger Minatree.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Oakview Health and Rehabilitation. 

Mrs. Brown will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Sunday.
