Jesse Ray “J. R.” Brown

Mr. Jesse Ray “J. R.” Brown, age 69, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Rome Health and Rehab.

Mr. Brown was born August 18, 1950, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Grady and Cleo Parker Brown.  Prior to his retirement, he was self-employed in the sheetrock industry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Brown; brother, Jerry Brown; and a sister, Christine Smith.

Mr. Brown is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scotty and Debra Brown; daughter, Patricia Brown; step-sons, Levi Kitchens and Dylan Brock; step-daughter, Celina Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Rita Brown; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Bray, Betty and Don Hart; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; and special nephew, Austin Tiffin.

Mr. Brown will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

There will be no formal funeral services.
