James Edward Sizemore

Mr. James Edward Sizemore, age 93, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Sizemore was born August 28, 1926, in Gadsden, AL, son of the late Walter Scott and Ora Pentecost Sizemore.  He was a member of Trion Lodge # 160 F&AM and the Alhambra Shine Temple.  Mr. Sizemore was retired from the United States Navy with 20 years of service and was later employed with Smith Transfer. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Sizemore and Otis Sizemore; sisters, Ruth Vice, Mattie Bell Truell, Helen Whorton, Francis McJunkin, Louise Wilson, and Sybil Gear.

Mr. Sizemore is survived by his wife, Lillian Haas Sizemore; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Sherri Sizemore; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Hale, Karen and Barry Baker; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Sizemore will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at West Hill Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Wilson officiating.

Mr. Sizemore will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M.
