Margaret Lucy “Maw” Shropshire

Mrs. Margaret Lucy “Maw” Shropshire, age 80 of Summerville, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Shropshire was born in Gaylesville, Alabama on April 15, 1939, daughter of the late Andy Vineyard and Elsie Mae Chapmen Vineyard. She was retired from Best Mfg and loved to garden and play computer games. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shropshire was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Shropshire; son, Clete Shropshire; sister, Frances Pettyjohn; brother, Billie Vineyard and a grandson, Corey Thompson.

Mrs. Shropshire is survived by a daughter, Angela Flegal; sons and daughter-in-law, Vic Shropshire, Neil and Hope Shropshire, David Wooten and Tory Shropshire; sisters, Marie Floyd and Charlotte Fortenberry; brother, Frank Vineyard; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Shropshire will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Minster Robbie Eversole officiating.

There is no formal visitation planned, however the family will gather at the funeral home Monday prior to the memorial service.
