Dillard Wayne Busby

Mr. Dillard Wayne Busby, age 61, of Gaylesville, AL, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Busby was born January 26, 1958, in Fort Payne, AL, son of the late Billy Joe and Edna Smith Busby.  He was employed with Conagra Feed Mill.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Busby was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Helms; grandchildren, Kevin Spurlock, Jr. and Britney Spurlock.

Mr. Busby is survived by his wife, Evelyn Spurlock Busby; son, Kevin (Alisha) Spurlock; daughter, Rachel (Jamey) Pope; brothers, Billy (Mary) Busby, Rickey Busby; sisters, Larue Kane, Jo (Ricky) Aaron, Kathy Jones, Bobbie Hudgins, and Tammy McKeehan; grandchildren, Angel Smith, Matthew Spurlock, Katlin Lee, Nathan Pope, and Mason Pope; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Spurlock, Alissa Smith, Bentley Smith, Oaklyn Smith, Kal-el Spurlock, and Luke Lee.

Funeral services for Mr. Busby will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, January 17, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jamie Maples officiating.  Interment will follow in Moseley Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chad Maples, B. J. Busby, Matthew Spurlock, David Wiggins, Josh Helms, Stacy Bullard, Riley Lee, Stevie Burleson, and Tyler Bullard.

Mr. Busby will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Friday.
