Bonnie Sue Key Harris

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Key Harris, age 73, of Cloudland, GA, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Harris was born January 30, 1946, in Cloudland, GA, daughter of the late Gordon Phillip and Helen Jewell Rebecca Holbrook Key.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, she was employed with Menlo Elementary School where she had worked in the school cafeteria and had previously worked as a janitor.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Harris; a son, Jamie Harris; and a brother, Phil Key.

Survivors include her daughters, Janet (Dennis) Hartline, Jenny (Franklin) Jones, and Jill (Robby) Neal; a sister, Mary Lou Hegwood; grandchildren, Melody (Rickey) Turberville, Sara (Skylur) Cascella, Bobby Neal, Macy Neal, Devin Dodd, and Dylan Dodd; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Cascella and Avenly Turberville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020, from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Keith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Robby Neal, Bobby Neal, Devin Dodd, Dylan Dodd, Yogi Hegwood, Tip Young, John Smith, and Bruce Huskey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Skylur Cascella, Rickey Turberville, Henry Covington, and the members of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harris will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday.  She will also be in state at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.
