Orlando Clayton “O.C.” Beasley
Mr. Orlando Clayton “O.C.” Beasley, age 93, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Beasley was born February 18, 1927, in Glen Allen, AL, son of the late Lester D. and Annie Beatrice Gaut Beasley. He was a member of Subligna Road Church of Christ and was a graduate of Auburn University School of Pharmacy. He was also a member of the Chama Church of Christ, the Chama, NM Rotary Club, and was a former President of the Chama Cemetery Board. Mr. Beasley was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pickard Beasley to whom he was married on September 30, 1951; a son, Clay Beasley; brothers, Eugene Beasley, Eual Beasley; and a sister, Audrey Butler.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his son, Barry Beasley; daughters, Gina (Lane) Skates and Jan (Michael) Parish; sister, Sarah Bagley; grandchildren, Dawn Skates Hust, Holly Skates, and Orlando Clayton Beasley; great-grandchildren, Luke Hust, Ryan Hust, Cooper Bierkamp, and Owen Bierkamp; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Beasley will be held at a later date.
